Oct. 1, 2020 - The Court of Queen’s Bench has issued Criminal Practice Directive #2, respecting access to juror information and jury lists. It can be found on the Rules and Practice Directives page, along with supporting forms.
Sept. 16, 2020 - The Court of Queen’s Bench has amended its civil subpoena forms to require the inclusion of a notice to inform witnesses on their choice of oath or affirmation. The new subpoena forms can be found here: English version | French version

July 16, 2020 -Court Services has announced important improvements to Deposit Accounts in the Court of Queen’s Bench. All current deposit accounts will be cancelled on August 7, 2020. To obtain a new central deposit account for use at any judicial centre, court users must file a written request in prescribed form with any Local Registrar. July 15, 2020 - The Court of Queen’s Bench has recently amended its rules respecting Appearance Day Notices and the Warrant of Committal form in the case of civil contempt. The amendments come into effect on September 1, 2020 and can be found here: English version French version
Jan. 31, 2020 - The Court of Queen's Bench has issued a new practice directive concerning family law chambers appearances.
Oct. 10, 2019 - The Court of Queen's Bench has issued a new practice directive concerning scheduling Summary Judgment and Judicial Review applications.
Sept. 3, 2019 - As a consequence of recent amendments to The Land Contracts (Actions) Act, 2018, the Court of Queen’s Bench has amended its rules and forms respecting actions for foreclosure and cancellation of agreements for the sale of land. The amendments can be found here. (francais)
May 14, 2019 - The Provincial Court has issued a new practice directive related to applications under s. 11(b) of the Charter.
May 1, 2019 - The Court of Queen’s Bench has issued a new practice directive on the process to request copies of audio and video recordings in criminal proceedings.
Feb. 21, 2019 - Effective March 15, 2019, the Court of Queen’s Bench has amended its rules, forms, and tariff of party to party costs related to default judgments. Other housekeeping changes to the forms have also been made. The amendments can be found here. (francais)

Jan. 22, 2019 - Effective February 1, 2019, the Court of Queen’s Bench has amended Practice Directive FAM#1 to prescribe the contents and form of the pre-trial briefs required to be filed by each party.

July 30, 2018 - The Court of Queen’s Bench has issued an Administrative Notice concerning the scheduling of child protection chambers and pre-trial conferences in the Judicial Centres of Regina, Saskatoon and Prince Albert: Chamber Applications and Pre-Trial Conferences Pursuant to The Child and Family Services Act.
June 26, 2018 - The Honourable Chief Justice Robert G. Richards has ordered that a copy of Order-in-Council 194/2018, a reference by the Lieutenant Governor in Council related to the the Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act, Bill C-74 Part V, be posted on this website, along with a copy of the Order respecting Interventions.
April 28, 2018 - Court of Queen's Bench issues General Application Practice Directive #8 - Communications and Correspondence with Judges
April 24, 2018 - Chief Justice M.D. Popescul of the Court of Queen's Bench has cancelled the Court's regular civil Chambers on June 7, 2018, and family law Chambers on June 8, 2018, in both Regina and Saskatoon. All matters that have been set for Chambers in either Regina or Saskatoon on those dates will be adjourned by the Local Registrar to subsequent Chambers dates. The Local Registrar will notify the applicants and respondents (whose address is known) of the Chambers date to which it has been rescheduled.

Sept. 1, 2017 - The Court of Queen’s Bench has issued a new practice directive concerning applications made to the Court under The Saskatchewan Human Rights Code. The new Practice Directive (CV-PD#5) comes into effect September 1,2017, and can be found here.

March 7, 2017 - Queen's Bench Amendments to Take Effect on April 1, 2017 - The Court of Queen's Bench has amended the Rules of Court and related forms effective April 1, 2017. The amendments include authorizing lawyers to send requests for service directly to foreign countries pursuant to The Hague Convention on the Service Abroad of Judicial and Extrajudicial Documents in Civil and Commercial Matters, and amending the family law Petition and Answer forms to require additional information concerning other relevant court proceedings and to update the Statement of Lawyer. Jan. 8, 2016 - The Court of Queen's Bench has issued a new Practice Directive that sets out how and when to notify the Local Registrar of requests to adjourn matters scheduled for chambers. You can find the Practice Directive here.
Nov. 10, 2015 - The Court of Queen's Bench has made a number of amendments to its Rules of Court and related forms. The amendments take effect on January 1, 2016. The amendments, include: the requirement that originating applications be issued before they are served; clarification on when issues may be resolved by summary judgment; the requirement that proof of death (such as a funeral director's certificate) be filed with applications for probate and adminstration; changes to the Application for Grant of Adminstration form to clarify the basis on which a bond is or is not required; new forms for Application for Case Conference and Appointment for Questioning; as well as formatting amendments to all forms including the removal of the clerk's stamp. July 13, 2015 - The Court of Queen's Bench has amended Schedule I "B" of the Tariff of Costs. The new Tariff is split into a General section and a Family section, and organized in accordance with the new Rules of Court with columns based on the complexity of the case. The new Tariff comes into effect on August 1, 2015.
